A vintage tapered pot/vase by Scheurich, West Germany. Dating from the 1960s/1970s 'fat lava' era and mid century and retro in style. The glaze is a glossy deep green, over a matt brown and slightly speckled smooth cream body. Shape/model no 206-26 (26 denoting 26cm tall). All typically Scheurich.
Good useable condition for age and era with no noticeable chips or cracks or crazing. There's a spot/bubble of missing glaze to the inner rim, see eighth photo. There's a natural 'knobble' to the cream, see last photo. The cream being matt looks dirty, but I'm sure that's just its glaze! The dark green is a forest black/green.
26.7cm tall x 10.5cm widest. Inner rim is 5.3cm tall. Perfect for a few taller statement stems - looks good on display.
