A stunning vintage Rosenthal (West German) white porcelain vase. From the Studio Linie range, the design is by Tapio Wirkkala (Finland) and is 'Do Not Litter' (paper bag vase). I believe it was designed by Wirkkala in 1977, and looking at the Rosenthal base mark this one dates from 1982 - so vintage and original.
Glossy white 15cm tall rectangular paper bag shape, with serrated style top/rim. Modernist and pop art in style - considering the age it feels very contemporary today. It's all white with a glossy glaze with cool folds, ripples, and creases. Stamped to the base with the logo with the TW signature.
A medium version of the design, the rectangular base is 10 x 6.5cm. Very good condition, see photos. One hard to see loss of a point to a serration on the rim corner. Suited to a few statement stems, if used.
