A lovely vintage porcelain candlestick by Rosenthal, Germany. The stylised design is by Danish designer Bjørn Wiinblad and is for the Studio Linie range. Circa 1980s vintage. 
A glossy white glaze with gold gilt stripes and geometric patterns over the simple stylish shape. Stamped to the base with 'Rosenthal Germany, Quatre Couleurs, Bjørn Wiinblad, Studio Linie' along with a hand written number 1628 - I presume this is the model number.
Designed to hold a standard tapered dinner candle - inner well tapers up to 2.5cm wide. 21.5cm tall x 5cm at the base. Very good usable and displayable condition. 
A simple, stylish, elegant, bright white & gold post-modernist piece. Perfect for a Mid-century home, a Wiinblad collector and for Christmas!
