A stunning vintage Modernist porcelain vase by Rosenthal, West Germany. I think the date stamp dates it to 1988.
I've described it as 'rare' as I've not been able to find another like, or identify the artist, so it must a limited edition by an unknown artist.
It features an all round graphic-design fine line drawing of abstract clouds/flowers/landscapes, almost Japanese style. The white glossy vase has grey infill and gold lines over. The printed gold decor is reflective gilt, so reflects and shines in different ways - see pics. Produced as part of the mid century Studio Linie range.
Bow fronted rectangular vase - 13.5cm tall x 12.5cm wide x 5.5cm deep. A minimalist Modernist shape and decor. Stamped with the Rosenthal Studio Linie logo to the base. Model number 3512-14 (feint imprint to base). There's a signature bottom right on one side which I've not been able to decipher.
Excellent collectable condition. Simple, stylish, elegant Modernist piece. Perfect for a modern minimalist or Mid-century home or for a collector.
Price includes P&P to the UK.
