Rare Hornsea Clip N Carry lidded ovenproof casserole dish. Black, blue tan strip
A hard-to-find vintage lidded ovenproof casserole dish or serving tureen by Hornsea, England. From the rare Clip N Carry range which was circa 1964-1965.
Sturdy heavy pottery/earthenware with glossy black and white glaze, and contrasting light blue and tan/terracotta stripe detail. 10.5cm tall without lid x 16cm diameter (12cm tall with lid. Lid is 14cm wide). Multi-use - perfect for serving food, keeping food hot, cooking, baking, or maybe just for a display/collection. The base stamp reads "Hornsea Pottery Ovenproof Casserole Made in England".
In excellent condition for the age, with no chips etc. Fully functional. A glazing flaw under the tan/terracotta stripe, see last photo.
