Fabulous unused original pair of Pyrex JAJ (James A Jobling) Classics design round mixing bowls. These two form the hard to find 1964 'Mix & Serve' set.
The design dates design from 1964 only, made in England. Originally the set would have had a chrome bracket to suspend the smaller bowl over the larger - designed for chips and dips. The two sizes of bowl sit neatly together in a 'Cinderella' nest, and they have a wider end to hold and narrower end, for pouring - if used as mixing bowls. They're grey over white opal glass, the smaller bowl has white vine patterns around it.
Largest bowl: Apx 10cm tall, 27.5cm long, 22cm diameter. Apx 2.5 pint.
Smallest bowl: Apx 8cm tall, 19cm long, 15cm diameter. Apx 1 pint.
Untouched and unused condition, all as originally produced 60 years ago. Very clean and bright white internally with no internal marks. Externally excellent with great colour and sheen, a tiny fleabite can be seen on the rim of the larger bowl on the main photo. The grey is a smart deeper grey. Stamped to their bases with the JAJ crown logos with 'Made in England'. They're an original complete matching pair that have always been together.
As good as you will find!
