A lovely 'Red Magma' vase, by Poole Pottery, England. Circa 1980s-1990s vintage, part of the more recent Living Glaze ranges.
Although a bit more modern, you can clearly see the 1960s/1970s Poole Pottery techniques and colours in this piece, just like Delphis. It's deep rich red with random splodges of deep yellow, with black squiggly patterns and duck egg blue spots, like abstract foliage and flowers. Stamped to the base with 'Poole Pottery England'. It's a mid-sized traditional baluster style vase, ideal for a good sized bunch of flowers. Matt black internally. No decorator's mark.
16.5cm tall x 12.5cm widest, 9.5cm outer rim. Excellent condition. The glazes are deliberately liquid and running as part of the decor. Being handmade no two of these are the same.
