A lovely 'Lava' vase, by Poole Pottery, England. Circa 1990s-2000s vintage, part of the more recent Living Glaze ranges.
Although a bit more modern, you can clearly see the 1960s/1970s Poole Pottery techniques and colours in this piece, just like Delphis. It's a rich red with hand painted vertical splodges of black, with red spotting, like abstract poppies. Stamped to the base with the logo and the decorator's mark 'E'. It's a mid-sized traditional baluster style vase, ideal for a good sized bunch of flowers. Vibrant blue internally, very striking.
20.5cm tall x 12cm widest, 7.5cm outer rim. Great condition. The glazes are deliberately liquid and running as part of the decor. Being handmade no two of these are the same.
