A striking 1970s red plant pot holder, from the Poole Pottery Delphis range. It's Shape 'ABA' and size 497 and is signed on the back with 'tf' for Tina Fancy, I believe. She was active at Poole Pottery from 1976 to 1978, so of that precise 1970s era. Freehand hand painted leaf and stem shapes all the way round - rich deep red glaze with blue/green design (dark duck egg with black outlines), all in the Delphis abstract style. The blue/green glaze is a crackle glaze, see close up photo. A straight sided simple cylinder shape. Logo, shape no. and signature are all to the base. Very good condition with no chips or anything; useable and displayable and clean inside. There's a natural glazing flaw to the rim - a tiny white wobble. 10.5cm tall x 11.5cm wide - quite petite and ideal for succulents (would suit a flower pot up to 10cm tall). All very retro with vivid colours, and typical of 1970s Poole Pottery! Free P&P to the UK.
