A lovely round-shaped vintage Poole Pottery Delphis large ashtray/bowl. It's signed on the back with a '#' signature which I believe is Wendy Smith 1975-77, so dating from that mid to late 1970s retro, hippy, flower-power era. 
Freehand unique abstract painting - orange, deep yellow and lime green abstract art with black outlines in the Delphis abstract style. The orange glaze is deliberately pulled back revealing white highlights along the edges. Hand painted over a white base. Logo and signature are to the base. The ceramic ashtray shape has three indents  for a cigar/cigarette.
Very good condition, no chips. A few small glaze scratches and some slight discolouration and slight crazing to the reverse out of sight, see pics. A nice and useful sized 18.5cm diameter x 3.8cm tall (like a cereal bowl). Inner bowl is 9cm wide at inner the bottom. All very retro with vivid colours, and typical of the 1970s!
