A pair of smokey brown glass mid-sized tumblers, designed in the late 1960s for Caithness, Scotland. I'm unsure which range the glasses are from but they look to be model number 4025/6oz. The designer would be Domhnall OBroin, Charles Orr or Colin Terris.
Circa late 1960s to early 1980s vintage. This colour is Peat - a typically 1970s smokey warm brown colour, cased in clear glass. 'Peat' colouring was used to compliment whisky contents. They're probably the 6oz size - capacity is 1/3 pint, 180ml to the brim. Perfect for a couple of shots with ice. Distinctive simple straight flaring lines - a classy, understated and stable retro design.
Quality items in very good vintage condition with a few tiny signs of use. No chips. They're slightly different being handmade/mouth blown. They're around 8cm tall x 7.2cm wide rim x 5.5cm wide base. Weighty with the solid glass bases; they feel chunky and tactile in the hand.
P&P to the UK included.
