A pair of 1970s/1980s Tapio Wirkkala designed Ultima Thule candle holders. Made in Finland for iittala, a high quality Scandinavian brand.
Round with slightly tapering in straight 'icy' sides and a textured/bobbled base with three feet. Top parts are smooth, flat and tactile. Apx 7cm wide by about 3.8cm tall. Inner hole is about 1.8cm wide so suited to a Scandi-style slimmer tapered dinner candle.
Both excellent condition. Crystal content glass means it catches the light beautifully and are quality and weighty. Lovely bit of classic Finnish design.
