A pair of beautiful Kosta Boda head votives - Scandinavian candle holders, made in Sweden. I believe they're 24% lead crystal just like the Snowballs of the same era. The male and female pair were designed by Bertil Vallien and could be up to 45 years old (when it was just Boda), circa 1970s to 1980s vintage. 
The male and female heads look to be Classical figures, Greek or Roman influenced, and quite androgynous with simple angular features. Handmade and moulded clear bright heavy icy glass with deliberate moulding marks, seams/lines. Each has an opening to the top designed to hold a tealight sized candle. Unsigned.
Both in very good condition with no noticeable flaws or chips. Very clean with no real signs of previous use. Apx 9cm high x 8cm wide x 9cm deep each. Heavy moulded crystal glass, weighing a hefty 1.9kg together. Suitable for both a tealight candle and a small pillar candle (holes are apx 4.2cm wide).
