A 1960s design classic! A super pair of Old Hall salt and pepper shakers, with matching mustard pot, designed by Robert Welch. Simple, sleek and great mid century design - part of the infamous Alveston range. Petite round squat shapes with beautifully tapered top and bottom sections. Lower half of the pots are hard black plastic, upper half is satin 18/8 stainless steel; it's the reverse for the matching mustard pot. Circa 1960s vintage.
Stamped on their bases with the Old Hall logo and 'Designed by R Welch, Old Hall England' as well as the registered design nos 913887 and patent nos 941715. The bottom black sections unscrew for refilling (1cm along anticlockwise then pull up and off - the dimples on the sides form an internal part that follows the grooves... if you know what I mean. There's a knack!).
Salt and pepper are apx 5.5 x 5.5cm, mustard pot is apx 3.5 x 5.5cm. High quality feel. Great condition with some small signs of use on the black plastic out of sight. The steel is in fab condition.
Very usable, displayable, striking. Perfect for both a contemporary home and a mid century interior. Set no 1 of 2 I have.
Includes P&P to the UK.
