A vintage turquoise blue Murano Mandruzzato hexagonal art glass dish.... Made in Murano, Venice, Italy. Original design attributed to Mandruzzato or Campanella. It's hexagonal from above, with 18 flat polished cut (faceted) sides, with an hexagonal flat polished base. Each side is skillfully polished flat. Flat polished rim with a round opening. It's a turquoise blue or cyan internally (a rounded well) with a thin darker blue floating colour (sommerso) and clear outer casing glass.
Circa 1960s to 1980s vintage. Hand made/hand finished - a beautifully and skillfully made quality piece. Looks amazing in the sunshine and on display, like a diamond.
A decent sized 12 x 112 x 6cm tall. Around 800g - quite a statement piece of vintage Venetian glass.
Good condition for the age. A couple of outer edges have some tiny nibbles, please see all photos. All the points are chip-free - these chip so easily! No noticeable scratches. I'd give it an 8.5/10, very good for a coffee table and for display.
