A retro fruit/nibbles serving dish/platter with 6 fruit knives. Circa 1960s 1970s vintage.
It's a large round solid carved teak wood (a reddy hardwood) with curved sides. It was probably designed to hold fruit, but also suited to cheeses, hams etc. It has the maker's logo to the base but I've not been able to identify it - very much mid century Danish/Scandi in style and feel. The platter has a central dome evenly divided into six slots, to hold your six friends' knives. The bowl is a good statement sized 29.5cm x 4.5cm high (it goes about 7cm tall in the centre). The knives are teak with serrated stainless steel blades, they're all the same brand and have a feint 'best stainless steel' logo.
In good useable and displayable condition with some signs of age and use. I've not cleaned or treated the teak, I've left it all natural - the dish has some small marks (see last photo) and the knife handles show some signs of age.
Ideal as a table-centre prop for a mid century interior.
Includes P&P to the UK.
