A super mid-century silver necklace pendant. From the 1960s/1970s mid century, but I've not been able to identify the origin...
The cast silver pendant has abstract horizontal and vertical layers and textures and random shapes and holes. The (rectangular) shape is both Brutalist and Modernist and retro in style. The photos don't do it justice - it's stunning when you really look close up and has a good weight to it.
It has a large bail to the top - stamped '900' which would suggest German or Austrian origin. There's a stamp to the pendant which looks to read 'A 830 S' which could point to a Scandinavian origin. Either way it is very likely 1960s continental silver.
Just the right size to be a statement. Pendant (minus loop) is 47mm x 34mm. Weighs 17.6g. Very good condition. Please see all pics and let me know if you can ID it.
