A super Shattaline crackled resin cube-shaped paperweight or desk accessory.
Shattaline invented this cracked resin effect in the mid 1960s and hand made these products in England until the mid 1970s or so. These crazed-effect cube paperweights were cast in glass moulds (held together with sellotape!). The crackles, internal lines and light refractions are all deliberate and part of the patented design. This cube is a yellow amber colouring, with softened edges. It has its original yellow felt base.
Very good for age with no chips. 5.7 x 5.7 x 5.7cm.
