A striking art glass vase, probably by Tamara Aladin for Riihimäen Lasi Oy / Riihimaki, Finland... Most likely a late 1960s design and of a 1970s vintage. It is a great vivid olive green colour and is cased in clear glass at the base. It has a cylindrical lower third, with a curvy flared detail above, and a contrasting simple upper, almost mushroom like. Mouth blown in to a mould, it is design no 1473 I believe. 18cm x 9.5cm wide max at flared middle. Rim is 8.2cm wide, cylinder base is 6.5cm wide. Very good condition for age/era. No chips, nibbles, water marks etc. Rim is excellent. Base shows signs of its age. A couple of small scratches/dots around the clear base - but actually pretty good for 40-50 years old. Some natural internal tiny bubbles. I'd give it a 8/10 - nice example and stunning on display! Free P&P to the UK.
