A striking art glass vase, by Riihimäen Lasi Oy / Riihimaki, Finland, design attributed to Tamara Aladin. 
Most likely a late 1960s design and of a 1970s vintage. It is a great vivid green colour and is cased in clear glass at the base. It has a flared lower quarter, with a wide detail above, and a contrasting simple tapering upper. Mouth blown in to a mould, it is design no 1374 - the shorter version of the design.
18cm x 9.5cm wide max at flared part. Smooth rim is 7cm wide, cylinder base is 6cm wide.
Very good condition for age/era. Base shows some signs of its age. A few natural bubbles - but actually pretty good for 40-50 years old. Nice example and stunning on display!
