A mystery Atomic-style standing cat figurine...
Handmade cat figurine from the 1960s or 1970s - very much in that mid century or Scandinavian style. Pottery, with a flat triangular face and large painted yellow eyes. Long body with white base glaze and tan, black and moss green patterns. He's a lighter fine clay and smooth glazed. Unsigned - please let me know if you can positively identify him.
Good vintage condition without any chips. On close inspection there is some fine crazing. The feet have been angled so he stands nicely, I'm pretty sure these feet slithers are deliberate. The ears and tail end are sharp but no visible damage. Please study photos - he's good for the age and era and purrrfect for a cat collector!
