A fabulous mid century Jena Glas teapot by Schott & Gen, GDR (East Germany). Circa 1960s to 1970s mid century vintage, it was designed by Ilse Decho (1915-1978) in 1963. It's in its original retro box.
Model number 5105 it's a simple low squat shape with a 1 litre capacity, it has an inner removable filter (optional) and lid. The lightweight yet heat-proof glass (like Pyrex or Bodum) is stamped with the Schott & Gen Jenaer Glas logo to the base. Designed more for elegant herbal and leaf teas, but just as useable for coffees. 
All in really good condition with no signs of use. All the glass is great with no chips or noticeable marks; it has some bubbles and ripples being hand produced. Box is old and tatty with with great colour. A beautiful and stylish mid century teapot.
