A cute stylised cat pottery piggy bank/money box. Made in Italy and stamped/signed to the base with 'Italy'... unknown maker.
I believe this little fellow is 1960s vintage, and the figure has been hand decorated using styling/colourings from this time. He's glossy white, and a simple 'tenpin' shape, with feature bulging eyes and wonky whiskers. He appears to be smartly dressed and has a half smile. Original plastic stopper to the base makes him very usable. 16cm tall x 6.5cm widest.
Very good condition - perfect for a modern or mid-century home. There are a couple of glaze imperfections if you look very very closely. More for display for a grown-up, than for a child's toy. A curious cat-shaped conversation piece.
