A lovely and sculptural large art glass bowl with floating precise controlled bubbles. It's Czech 1950s origin, probably by the Harrachov glassworks, or possibly Mstisov. It has a blue inner, with a peach, copper or salmon pink coloured outer casing. The central bubbles are precise and are skilfully executed - the work of an artist. Not sure exactly who it may be attributed to. 1950s to 1960s vintage, with typical Czech colouring and styling. The square freeform former ashtray has channels to two of the corners and a chunky exaggerated rounded rim. It's in good vintage condition with no chips. Internally it has been used as a bowl so has fine scratches to the centre, shown. Base shows the signs of wear you'd expect for the era. A few scratches, mostly external and not in eye-line. I'd give it a 8/10 - great for display and a splash of mid century colour. A good statement sized 14.5cm x 14.5cm, 8cm tall. A hefty 1.25kg. Free P&P to the UK, as with all my items.
