A super 1960s mid century Italian Alfra Alessi vintage cocktail shaker - designed by Luigi Massoni & Carlo Mazzeri. I believe the design dates from 1957 and this is an original earlier version (in 18/8 stainless steel rather than 18/10 as recent versions are). It's model no 870-50 with 50cl capacity.
Made by Alfra, Italy. The Alfra name with the bird logo dates from pre 1967, before Alfra Alessi became just ALESSI - so this is early Alessi. High quality designer brand in shiny reflective steel with the dimple lid design. Stamped "Alfra, Italy. 18/8 stainless steel. Mod Dep".
Three parts - insulated lid, shaker filter and vessel. Very smart, bright reflective silver colour. Some minimal surface marks but it looks amazing for the age and era. Tiny dink to base. Works well, fits snugly together. Very good clean useable condition. 16.5cm tall x 7.5cm widest.
