A Mdina 'Side Stripe' art glass vase. The technique/design was down to Michael Harris in Malta from 1968 to 1972. This is probably from just after Harris' era at Mdina using his colours and techniques, so 1970s.
Mediterranean sea like - known as 'Sea and Sand'. The colouring is a vivid teal/turquoise blue with internal streaks and spots of gold and lots of bubbles. All cased in thick clear glass, with clear side stripes and base. Mouth blown/hand made with folds and undulations, different from every angle and unique. Flat polished base. Small slightly flared out rim revealing the internal patterning.
11.5cm wide x 11.5cm tall x 5.5cm deep. Lovely displayable condition. Base is excellent and unsigned. Any undulations, swirls, bubbles, spots, inclusions are part of the handmade nature and are deliberate and by the artist.
