A freeform art glass Mdina 'knot' sculpture. The technique/design was down to Michael Harris in Malta in the late 1960s through the early 1970s. This is probably early 1970s; it's unsigned and with an old paper label, suggesting an earlier piece. Mediterranean sea like - known as 'Sea and Sand'. The colouring is a vivid teal/turquoise blue with internal streaks of gold, plus a splash of white, in clear glass with some natural bubbles. Mouth blown/hand made with folds and undulations, different from every angle and unique. Flat polished base with no real signs of age. A flat back - the sculptural shape was formed against a flat surface. 13cm tall x 10.5cm wide x 4.5cm deep. Very good displayable condition. Some formation and tooling marks from being handmade. Paper sticker has yellowed but is complete. An unusual and unique addition for any Mdina collector and stunning against a window. Includes P&P to the UK.
