A freeform art glass orange Mdina bowl/dish (or ashtray). The technique/design was down to Michael Harris in Malta in the 1970s, with orange being produced from the late 1970s into the 1980s. This is probably 1980s.
The colouring is a vivid orange with internal streaks and whirls of deeper orangey red, burnt orange and paler orange, with clear glass and lots of bubbles. Mouth blown/hand made with folds, trails and undulations, different from every angle and unique. There's five subtle rim indents for a cigar (would have been a fancy ashtray back in the day). Flat signed base.
11.5cm wide x 5.5cm high max. Very good displayable condition with no chips. A great splash of colour for a Mdina or retro art glass collector and stunning against the sunlight.
Includes P&P to the UK.
