A beautiful Mdina art glass small square bottle with stopper. The technique/design was down to Michael Harris in Malta from 1968 to 1972. This is using his colours and techniques and is circa 1980s vintage. Mediterranean sea-like - known as 'Sea and Sand'. The colouring is a vivid teal/turquoise blue with internal streaks and spots of gold and bubbles/swirls. Clear glass top and bottom with random straps or trails to the middle section. The trails are square over the rounded clear form. Mouth blown/hand made and unique. Flat polished base - signed Mdina - and flared rim. It comes with its lovely solid glass ball stopper - it's an ornamental bottle rather than a sealable perfume bottle. 7.5cm wide x 7.5cm x 15cm tall. Stopper is a 5.5cm wide ball x 11cm long. All very good displayable condition with no damage on display. Any undulations, swirls, bubbles, spots and inclusions are part of the handmade nature and are deliberate and by the artist. The stopper has a rough end with some fleabites hiding out of sight. Heavy and chunky at just over 800g. Includes P&P to the UK.
