A chunky Knobbly vase by Liskeard Glass, Cornwall, England.
Designed in the 1970s by Jim Dyer, brother of Harry Dyer who was designing the more famous Knobbly vases at Whitefriars Glass. (Jim did also work at Whitefriars). The vase or pot bears the distinctive LG stamp on the base.
It's thick solid glass with a thick rim. The green inner is a vivid dark malachite or emerald tone, and it is cased in clear glass. There are three rows of round staggered impressed knobbles or dimples on the outer surface. Handmade/mouth blown in the 1970s.
Excellent condition for the age and era. No chips, some internal bubbles. Some signs of age to the base. A perfect size for a bunch of small posies - 9.5cm tall x 7.5cm wide at widest point. Inner well is 3.2cm wide. Weighs 720g. Great for display and use.
