A beautiful tactile vintage Kosta Boda Snowball - a classic collectable candle holder and table centre piece. Made in Sweden. I believe it's 24% lead crystal, so it's heavy and bright and clear, reflecting light beautifully. This one is circa 1990s vintage, without the newer etched KB logo to the base but with its original plastic label to the base. (The older versions were made by Kosta, pre Kosta Boda.)
In great condition with no chips. Due to the production processes and hand finishing, these all have visible moulding lines, creases, bubbles, undulations etc. This makes every Snowball unique - part of its ongoing appeal today and making it ice-like. 
Apx 7.5cm high x 9cm wide - so the middle size available. Heavy moulded hand-finished crystal glass, weighs a chunky 690g. Suitable for both a tealight candle and a small pillar candle (central round hole is apx 4.3cm wide).

Created by Ann Wärff in 1973, the Snowball has become a classic Kosta Boda design. The snowball votive is crafted of thick, clear crystal with layers, creases, and bumps that give it a realistic look.
