A Russian Konakovo Faience factory large dove figurine, made in the former USSR Soviet Union. The mid century seated bird figure is hand painted with minimalist black accents over a simple white form. It is circa 1962-1974 vintage. Apparently it was inspired by Sergeev's Dove of Peace/Dove and World imagery.
It's a smooth glazed glossy white, over a hollow moulded white porcelain or fine ceramic. It is stamped with 'Made in USSR' to the baseline - others online have the factory marks for Konakovo. 
Good condition and displays well. Some crazing and small signs of its age, please check all photos. Being handmade it has some natural fine specks/lines to the white glaze. A good sized 26cm x 13cm wide x 10cm deep. A lovely mid century bird ornament and a fantastic addition for a vintage USSR porcelain collector.
