A lovely Kastrup/Holmegaard art glass vase dating from the early 1950s. It's the 'duckling' or pulled beak controlled bubble vase by Per Lutken. Lovely pale green colour - a harder to find colourway.
Carefully and skilfully handmade - mouth blown with layers of small controlled bubbles and a sommerso (floating layer of colour), all cased in clear glass and pulled up at the rim. Perfect for a single statement stem.
Very good vintage condition with no chips, nibbles. A couple of small scratches towards the base which are hard to see due to the design. The outer pulled beak rim has a tiny bit of black (ash?) from manufacture. Flat polished base has the correct signs of age and no maker's marks. 29cm tall x 8cm widest.
