A lovely 1930s vintage stylised bird pipe holder, by Just Andersen, Denmark. It's pewter, a soft grey metal, in the shape of a pheasant. The footed piece could also be used as a teaspoon holder or a ring dish with its smooth scooping inner bowl.
It's stamped with 'Denmark' to the base and with the 'JUST' logo to the base centre. It's in good condition compared to others, please see photos, and displays well. Being pewter the metal is naturally dull with a slight sheen with small surface marks and natural age.
