A stunning mid century art glass vase by lesser known glassworks Smålandshyttan, Sweden, designed by Josef Schott. Circa 1960s-1970s (the factory closed in 1976). Typical of the era with its raised geometric architectural shapes. 
Brutalist in style - blocky with random shapes - and Scandinavian mid century modern too. It's a chimney shape with curvy shell shapes to the wider base, tapering angles, and geometric cylinder upper. Each side is different. A red colour with a hint of orange flame, cased in clear. Nicely finished flat polished round rim and rippled base. 
18.5cm tall x 9.5cm widest x 5.5cm rim. A heavy 850 grams.
