A cool 1960s vintage statement pairing with the very hard to find 116 Jorgen Jensen brutalist block design... A chunky two-drop brutalist pewter necklace with integrated chain, and the matching five-panel chunky bracelet with toggle fastening. Handmade by Jorgen Jensen, Denmark, and stamped on the reverses with 'Pewter Jorgen Jensen Denmark 116' (model number 116 - I can't find others like them). Jorgen Jenson (1895-1966) was son of Georg Jensen, renowned Danish silversmith. The rectangular pewter geometric panels feature blackened indented circles and squares. The panels are flat on the pendant and lightly curved to the bracelet. They're articulated and joined by steel rings. All very much in a mid century brutalist and modernist style. The rectangular panels are 3cm x 2.4cm, so the necklace pendant extends to 5.8cm long x 3cm wide. The original chunky integrated necklace chain is steel (silver-coloured metal) with a spring ring fastening; it's 17" long so it sits as a statement in an open collar line. The spring ring looks to be a replacement. The bangle is 19cm long maximum with chunky over-sized toggle x 3cm wide. Please check this fits you, it's not adjustable. Both very good condition for age, presentable, wearable and a perfect vintage gift idea. The pewter is a dull silver grey metal with black indents. Minimal natural aging. They look fab on! Price is for both and includes P&P to the UK with presentation boxes (though they may not fit).
