A mid century shallow oven cooking or serving dish, designed by Anita Nylund for JIE, Gantofta, Sweden. She worked at JIE from the mid 1950s to mid 1960s so dating from that mid century era. The name of the design is Janssons Frestelse, model number 112K, and it features a blue basket full of mushrooms with a hedgehog. All hand painted within black outlines and predominantly green and blue. A vintage shallow earthenware-type ceramic rectangular dish with a handle. Both a useable kitchen item and a decorative Scandinavian dish. Base colour glaze is white. Perfect for serving vegetables or nibbles or just for display. Very good condition with minimal signs of use and age. Please see all photos. Stamped to base with an impressed and printed logo, along with the model details, and signed with the decorator's marks. The rectangle is 24cm long x 18cm wide x 3.5cm tall. With handle it extends to 25cm long. Price includes P&P to the UK.
