A fabulous stylised seated cat figurine, made by Jema, Holland. It's in a Bitossi style blue/green with embossed patterns - the turquoise blue glaze is 'Chinese Blue' and is designed to have a crazed effect. The statue doubles up as a money box with a slot to her back and original plastic stopper to the base.
Circa 1960s/1970s vintage, the figure has been moulded then hand decorated... She's ceramic with glossy blue and green decor with black eyelashes, ears and tail tip. Cute tilted head, elongated stylised features; the patterns are dots and circles and crosses. She is sitting tall and proud, and is in a kitsch 1960s and Bitossi style. 25.5cm tall. 
Very good condition - perfect for a vintage kitsch or mid-century home. No chips or cracks - the glaze is deliberately crazed all over. It has an original sticker to the base and you can just see an embossed '615 Holland'. A very nice example.
