A pair of matching crackle/shrink glazed 'fat lava' era pottery small vases which I believe are by Jasba Ceramics, West Germany - Cortina decor. Other similar vases were made by Jopeko. Apx 1950s to 1960s vintage, though the design/technique dates from 1955.
Turquoise blue glossy glaze underneath with white crackled textured overlay, with some turquoise glazed vertical stripes - a more unusual colour combination. Light coloured clay bases.
The pitcher shaped vase is stamped on base with 'Foreign 539/17'. It is 18cm tall x 5.5cm wide base. The simpler vase is stamped with '525/15 Foreign' and is 15cm tall x 6.3cm wide base. Both suitable as a small vase for a few flowers, or as stand alone ornaments.
Both excellent displayable and collectable condition with no signs of age. The crackles and textures vary.
Price includes P&P to the UK.
