A fabulous and rare Isle of Wight Studio Glass 'lollipop' vase.

Circa mid to late 1990s... Isle of Wight Glass was founded by Michael Harris in 1973 after he left Mdina, Malta. He continued working with Isle of Wight Glass until his death in 1994. The designs and techniques are very similar to Michael Harris's Mdina and Gozo Glass. IOW Studio Glass was later taken over by his son Timothy Harris and still continues today. The sticker on the base of this vase dates it to 1996 to 2014 - the sticker has the added line 'The Original'. Being late 1990s this is very likely to be a Timothy Harris vase. I've not been able to identify the design name or date - I can't find another like it!

The vase has swirls and ribbons of Royal blue and forest green, twisted with white, with some lines of bubbles and ruffles, all encased in clear glass. Wide clear sides as per the classic Lollipop designs from the 1970s. Flat polished base with part original label. Mouth blown/hand made and unique.

A petite 13cm tall x 12cm wide x 3.5cm deep. Rim is very narrow/tight - single stem - although I don't think this is intended to be used as a vase. Lovely collectable condition. A super addition for any Mdina/Isle of Wight/Harris collector.

Price includes P&P to the UK.
