A beautiful Isle of Wight Studio Glass 'Meadow Garden' small oval vase. This design, Meadow Garden (Buttercup decor, 1983-1985), was designed by Elizabeth Harris, wife of Michael Harris. It has a pale yellowy green base with spots and trails of white, other varied greens and a greeny brown. The frilled and uneven rim is characteristic of oval vases of Meadow Garden. This vase is also iridescent so probably had a light fuming with stannous chloride to produce a mild iridescence.
The oval vase is cylindrical with a flat frosted base. It's a small 8.5cm tall vase x 7cm wide x 4.5cm deep. Very good condition. It's a beautiful piece and a nice example.
