A boxed pair of Tapio Wirkkala designed Ultima Thule 'on-the-rocks' glasses, made by iittala.
The design dates from 1968 - these are contemporary. They come in their original box. They're a couple of years old and pretty much unused (rrp on iittala website is £41). They're the larger size tumblers, ideal for Whisky, G&T, water, etc.
Each glass is 28cl, or 280ml, a good chunky handful size. They're 8.8cm tall x 7.8cm wide at the rim, 8.4cm widest at the wide bottom. They're linear textured to the sides with the dripping ice bulbous tripod feet. Bright clear crystal content glass, made in Finland. Being the modern version the moulds have changed very very slightly since the 1960s and 1970s.
Perfect for Christmas!
Free P&P to the UK.
