A set of four vintage Tsaikka clear hot drinks glasses in metal holders, designed by Timo Sarpaneva for iittala, and made in Finland. These were designed in 1957 and produced for many years - these are circa 1970s-1980s.
Ideal stylish cups or mugs for teas and coffees. The four thin glass curvy glasses are in great condition for age with no chips or noticeable scratches. The glass is handmade so may have undulations.
The metal silver-coloured holders, with cutout patterns and feature double loop handle, hold the glasses snugly in place. The metal holders have tiny nodules inside at the bottom to prevent the glass slipping down. The glasses are easily removed for cleaning (slide up). The metal holders are for very good with a good shine.
8.5cm tall x 6.7cm at rim, 7cm at base with the holder. Each cup holds apx 200ml, 1/3 pint, or slightly less than a standard 'cup'.
Vintage originals, beautifully curvy with a metal contrast. Could also be used as glasses without the handles. Perfect for a retro home or contemporary interior.
Includes P&P to the UK.
