A beautiful vintage art glass bowl by Tapio Wirkkala, from the Lunaria range for Ahlstrom, Iittala.  Model no 3449. Circa 1970s vintage. 
The cracked ice or iceberg textured 3D design is on the base and it is raised up slightly on three small feet. The side of the dish is linear icy textured, slightly tapering inwards - typical of Wirkkala's designs. The rim is undulating and smooth. Smooth internally. High quality glass, undoubtedly with a crystal content. Pressed glass, mouth blown in to a mould. 
15.5cm wide x 5.5cm deep. Very condition with no chips. A few small marks inside from use, and some natural bubbles from being handmade.
Looks stunning in the sun. Can also be used a candle holder, for a pillar candle, or as an ashtray or for serving snacks.
