A fab vintage 1960 to 1961 Hornsea Studiocraft Westminster vase; I believe it was designed by John Clappison with Patrick Rylands. A short run production with just two sizes and three colours available - this is the harder to find taller version, model number 236.
It uses Hornsea's colour inlay technique from the 1950s where colour was applied to the indented areas then wiped off to leave the coloured pattern. White glazed moulded ceramic/pottery with a dark red colour inlay, in a flared shape with pointy arches to the top of the vertical lines. Stamped to base with the Hornsea Studiocraft logo and model number. 13.2cm tall x 11cm wide rim (6.7cm wide base).
Very good condition and clean with no signs of use/age. No chips or nibbles or cracks. Slight crazing to the base out of sight. It's rare to find one of these without any visible crazing, chips and discolouration! Great for display and for a collector.
