A pair of matching 1976 soup (or cereal or dessert) bowls by Hornsea, England, from the Saffron range. Designed by John Clappison for Hornsea in the late 1960s - these have the same 1976 base-stamp, an original pairing. Pottery/ceramic with distinctive tan and pale orangey terracotta design, glossy cream internally. Simple straight-sided retro modernist design. Bowls are roughly 13 x 6cm. In excellent clean condition with no chips or crazing or signs of previous use - really good for almost 50 years old. Free P&P to the UK.
