An early 1980s black boy figurine by Hornsea, England.

The boy is a pageboy and comes from a series of wedding-themed 'People' designed by John Clappison - the series also had a stylised bride and groom together and a bridesmaid. These were often used as cake toppers back in the day. Very much styled from the late 1970s or early 1980s era - he has cute hippy-like features, bowl haircut, flares and tight jacket, and the shy boy is sucking his thumb. Matt black coating over a moulded ceramic/fine clay and stamped to the base.

Very good condition with no chips.

Small - 9cm tall.

Free P&P to the UK.
