A set of four egg cups by Hornsea, England, from the Gourmet 66 range in Lakeland Green. Designed by John Clappison for Hornsea in about 1966 and dating from 1966-1967. 
A harder to find set with the original egg-cup stand/tray. Pottery/ceramic with distinctive deep forest green glossy glaze with black stylised rose head design. The eggcups are stamped to their bases, the tray is not. An original complete set. (Can also be used as mustard pots, condiments pots, baby cacti flower pots, etc.)
Great condition for the age. The tones of green are dark khaki and vary slightly, see photos. No crazing or chips or nibbles and perfect for a collection and for display. Egg cups are 4 x 4.5cm, square dish is 13.5 x 13.5 x 4cm max.
