A beautiful olive green Holmegaard glass piggy bank. The design is attributed to Jacob E Bang for Holmegaard, Denmark. I believe this little fellow is late 1960s or 1970s vintage. 
Pressed moulded/formed hollow glass figurine with cute love heart shaped snout, spotty/hobnail design and a curly tail. Roughly 12 x 8 x 9cm. 
Good condition with a few small signs of age. His snout is a little rough, shown, and his curly tail has a chip/shard missing. As with all of these the slot was cut in afterwards, so looks rough from manufacturing. Being pressed glass there are visible moulding lines. Very useable and displayable, and ideal for a collection in a modern or mid-century home.
More for display for a grown-up, than for a child's toy - although it would look fab out of reach in a nursery! Becoming increasingly scarce as the only way to empty them is to smash them.
