A fantastic vintage Holmegaard art glass round bowl, designed by Per Lutken, Denmark. 1950s/1960s mid century design and dated exactly to 1961. It's the 'Akva cigaret bæger, afrundet kraftig korpus' ie the 'Aqua cigarette cup, rounded strong body'.
A beautiful tactile chunky round bowl with round central inner well and rounded tactile rim. It's a pale aqua 'akva' blue colour - typical of Lutken's designs. Hand signed to the base with 'Holmegaard [then a PL signature] 1961'.
Excellent example with no chips, nibbles or obvious marks. Signed polished base with not much age. 9cm widest x 7.7cm highest, inner rim 5.5cm. A beautifully simple 1960s Danish art glass piece.
